.NET   Who is Bill Gates?
William Henry Gates the THIRD was one of the co-creators and former chairman of Microsoft. Also known as the world's youngest billionaire in 1987 at age 31. Seattle born, Bill was concieved on October 28, 1955 to mother Mary and father William (ii). Bill got his start in computers from a very young age, enrolling at Harvard and taking Math 55 along with graduate level computer science courses. He'd only attend three semesters before dropping out in 1975 to begin his work on Microsoft with co-founder and childhood friend Paul Allen.

In 1985, Microsoft released their first major program, Windows 1.0, was released to public with mixed reviews. People noting bugs and the lack of compatibility with other software. Support for the program would come to a permanent halt in 2001 after being succeeded by Windows 2.0--released in 1987.
Microsoft's next notable release wouldn't be until ten years in 1995, where Windows 95 would be released, being the first of the Windows 9x series. Ninety-five merged MS-DOS; a text-based OS used to run and manage programs, and Windows to create a single product.
